JOB SUMMARY
The FORM SETTER will be responsible to perform various carpentry tasks involving physical labor on highway, road, and bridge construction projects; communicate with others using verbal and non-verbal hand signals while operating equipment; read and understand construction plans, sketches and blueprints; and performs other duties as assigned.

- RESPONSIBLE FOR PERFORMING VARIOUS CARPENTRY TASKS INVOLVING PHYSICAL LABOR ON HIGHWAY, ROAD, AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS to include building and bracing forms for retaining walls, pipes, and bridges, bracing, and securing structure forms, align plum forms
- COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS USING VERBAL AND NON-VERBAL HAND SIGNALS WHILE OPERATING EQUIPMENT.
- READ AND UNDERSTAND CONSTRUCTION PLANS, SKETCHES, AND BLUEPRINTS
- PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EQUIPMENT OPERATED
Hand and power tools
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of operating hand and power tools used in construction (hammers, sledgehammers, pry bars, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Knowledge of how to properly read and understand construction plans, sketches, and blueprints
- Knowledge of OHSA 30
- Ability to build and brace forms for retaining walls, pipes, and bridges, bracing
- Ability to secure structure forms and align plum forms
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
- Skilled in structural forms
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Three years of previous carpenter experience in all types of structural forms in Symon, EFCO, and Wood forms for CIP,
- Three years of experience in advanced wood forming
- Must have your own hand tools, such as a hammer, pouch, level, 8” crescent wrench, tape measure, etc.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience with pile driving
- OSHA 30 certification
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass a drug screening
- Must pass a motor vehicle check
- Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to weather elements
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing. reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, and climbing)

WORK CONDITIONS
Field work with exposure to construction sites, noise, dust, and weather conditions.
Physical work including lifting, carrying, and operation of machinery.
