Job Description - Part Time Front Desk 3p-11p

Principal Hotel is looking for a part time Front Desk Agent with availability to work evening 3p-11p, to join our team in our new Columbia Illinois location. The Front Desk Agent will greet, check in guest, assist and answer questions from our guest, all while providing a high level of service.

The ideal candidate will deliver a professional and qualified first impression to all visitors. This person must have excellent communication and customer service skills. He/she has a basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures/systems and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.

Responsibilities:

Guest services – Welcome guests, employees, and clients who arrive at the hotel and clarify the purpose of their visit and assist as necessary. Answer all phone calls and emails. Just being readily available at all times to ensure the guest receive top tier service.
Administration – Daily reporting and filing documents. File and keeping good records. Maintain clean and organized workstations and being diligent and aware of both current and upcoming events in all areas of the property.

We seek friendly, highly organized communicators and multitaskers with these qualifications.

Warm and friendly manner in relating to and interacting with the public.
Demonstrated attention to detail while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with handling money, making change, and using office machines in day-to-day activities.
Ability to speak and receive direction (written and verbal direction) in English.
Willingness and ability to work alone as scheduled.

The Principal Hotel benefits include benefits like health care, paid time off, retirement savings and professional development. Starting wage is $17.00 an hour.
