Part-Time Household Manager (Busy Family)

About the Role

We’re a busy family that owns and runs a business and works long hours. We’re looking for a reliable, organized Part-time Household Manager to help keep our home running smoothly day to day.

The goal of this role is simple:
to support our family — especially the parents — by handling household responsibilities so evenings can be spent on family time, not chores.

This role is responsible for all regular house cleaning during scheduled hours (we do not use a separate cleaning service).

What This Job Is

This role is responsible for the daily execution of household tasks so the home stays clean, organized, and calm.

Responsibilities include:

• Full house cleaning on a rotating schedule


• Bedrooms cleaned and beds made


• Laundry handled start to finish


• Kitchen cleaned and reset daily


• Bathrooms fully cleaned


• Organizing common areas, pantry, fridge, and closets


• Meal prep and cooking for a gluten-free household


• Prepping food/ingredients for dinners we’ll cook later


• Maintaining grocery and household inventory lists


• Light exterior cleanup (patio and front walkway)

• Childcare or nannying


• A personal assistant role


• Occasional or on-call work


• A fit for someone who doesn’t enjoy cleaning, organizing, or cooking


• A role with unclear expectations

This is a structured, responsibility-driven household role.

Schedule

• Daily visits


• Approximately 3–4 hours per day (week days)


• 15–20 hours per week on average (may vary slightly)


• Flexible scheduling available


• “Mother’s hours” welcomed as long as responsibilities are consistently met

Compensation

• $23–$27/hour, paid hourly


• Bonus hours available for pet/house sitting when needed
