Part-Time Housekeeper

Description

The Housekeeper is responsible for the general cleanliness of buildings and facilities in accordance with policies established by the Board of Camps and Retreat Ministries, and directives set by the Director.

This is a position where the hours may vary seasonally based on the needs of the site.

Key Functions

· Perform routine and deep cleaning of buildings according to established schedules, including but not limited to: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, washing windows, ordering supplies, collecting and disposing of trash, cleaning sinks, counter tops, refrigerators, and microwaves, etc.

· Ensure that buildings are prepared for guests by preparing bedrooms, bathrooms, and meeting spaces

· Assist with preparation of buildings for summer camp

· Wash, dry, fold, and prepare linen as needed 

· Replace and restock all supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags

· Maintain inventory of linen

· Report building maintenance and repair needs

· Assist in other responsibilities as directed

Requirements

Experience and Background: 

• At least 18 years old (16 years old for seasonal staff)
• Possess specific skill training or experience related to the position
• Experience or skilled in relating to guests, visitors, and staff
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record 

Education:

• No minimum requirement

Other Essential Functions:

• Be willing to work flexible hours, early mornings/evenings/weekends
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
