Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Executive Housekeeper / General Manager
Status: Full-Time or Part-Time

Position Summary

The Houseman supports the Housekeeping Department by maintaining the cleanliness of hotel public areas, assisting Room Attendants, removing trash and soiled linens, and ensuring housekeeping supplies are available throughout the hotel.

Essential Duties

• Clean and maintain hallways, stairwells, elevators, lobby areas, public restrooms, and other common areas.


• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and clean surfaces as needed.


• Remove trash and soiled linens from guest floors and housekeeping areas.


• Deliver clean linens, towels, and supplies to Room Attendants.


• Stock and organize housekeeping closets and storage areas.


• Assist Room Attendants with stripping rooms and other tasks when needed.


• Respond to guest requests for items such as towels, bedding, and other supplies.


• Maintain cleanliness around hotel entrances and exterior areas as assigned.


• Clean and maintain housekeeping carts and equipment.


• Report maintenance concerns, damages, or safety hazards to management.


• Assist with moving furniture, supplies, and deliveries when necessary.


• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.


• Follow all hotel safety, cleanliness, and attendance policies.


• Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required.


• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.


• Friendly and professional when interacting with guests.


• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.


• Ability to bend, reach, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift.


• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
