Position Summary
CNM faculty are vital to the College’s vision of “changing lives, building community.” This vision is evidenced by a commitment to teaching and learning that supports our goals of student success, increased student retention, and improved graduation rates. Faculty are responsible for providing high quality instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners so that each student may meet course outcomes and achieve their educational goals. An instructor is responsible for providing high quality instruction so that each student may meet course outcomes. Collaborate with the Dean and colleagues to improve the student learning experience. Being hired into the regular part-time instructor pool is not a guarantee of employment. Classes are assigned on an as-needed basis. Hours will vary each class and by term. The number of openings for instructors is dependent upon student enrollment.Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications:
Conferred associate degree or higher, in a related field
AND
At least two (2) years employment in the last three years in a healthcare facility performing, supervising, or observing administrative and clinical procedures as performed by medical assistants, and
Documented education or training such as completed workshops, in-service sessions, seminars, or completed college courses on instructional methodology. Topics including, but not limited to, learning theory, curricular design, test construction, teaching methodology or assessment techniques (List and certificates and/or transcripts required)
Preferences
Conferred bachelor's degree or higher
Current credential in medical assisting by an organization whose credentialing exam is accredited by the National Commission of Certifying Agencies (NCCA), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). We are responsible for verifying your credential before interviewing you. Please include your certification or license number or state of primary licensure, and expiration date on your resume.
Current and competent in the MAERB core curriculum through education or experience
Previous experience teaching online, hybrid, or web-enhanced courses.
Teaching experience at the post-secondary level within the last five (5) years.

This is a sensitive position that will require a negative urine drug screen and a cleared caregiver's criminal background check. This position may have evening and weekend responsibilities.
