Part Time Library Clerk II (Children's Services) M/T/Sa

Part-Time Available Shift:

Monday, Tuesday Saturday, 10:00am-4pm ( 18 hrs/week)

Brief Job Summary:  Works under the supervision of the children’s and teen librarians, and plays an integral role in the library’s youth services team, to successfully implement public services, policies, procedures and programs in accordance with the library’s mission. 

Responsibilities include: assisting patrons in locating materials, shelving materials, monitoring the condition of the children's department, and developing and presenting story times and other children's programming. Provides reference and reader’s advisory services to all library users, with a focus on services to children, teens, parents and teachers. 

Strong focus on children’s programming and literature, customer service, technology experience and team work. Requires the application of elementary principles of library and information sciences. A complete job description is available upon request.

Minimum Requirements:  One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
