Part-Time Licensed Child Care Center Director for Afterschool Program

Description

We are looking for an experienced Child Care Center Director to join our team and ensure the smooth running of our afterschool facility programs. This part-time position works on-site at an elementary school campus after school from 2:45p to 6:30p ( Monday - Friday) totaling 18 to 20 hours weekly. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations, supervise staff, develop and implement educational programs, and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the center. Below are the day-to-day responsibilities of the current open position.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare center, including staffing, budgeting, and scheduling
• Develop and implement educational programs, activities, and curricula that meet the developmental needs of the children
• Supervise and evaluate staff performance, and provide guidance and support as needed
• Establish policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in the center
• Maintain records and submit reports to governing boards as required
• Monitor and manage the budget for the center
• Partner with parents and guardians to ensure the best possible care is provided for the children

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a child care center setting preferred
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for young children
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Able to create a positive and nurturing environment for children
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid first-aid and CPR certifications
