Part Time Loan Support Specialist

The Loan Support Specialist plays an important role in supporting Rock Valley Credit Union’s lending operations by ensuring efficient documentation collection, providing responsive member and team support, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with compliance reviews. This role requires initiative, adaptability, and collaboration while delivering excellent service to both internal teams and members. By managing key administrative and support functions, the Loan Support Specialist helps RVCU deliver on its mission to educate members, build relationships, and provide exceptional experiences.

Essential Job Functions

Document Collection

• Conducts outbound calls to members regarding missing documents for loan applications.
• Tracks and follows up on required documents to ensure timely and accurate completion of loan files.

Phone Support

• Provides call-back support for lenders when they are out of office or unavailable.
• Assists with incoming calls and chats through the Contact Center (Eltropy) for lending-related inquiries.
• Ensures prompt, professional, and accurate responses to member questions.

GL Support

• Assists with loan-related GL functions, including TruStage, repossessions, and CD/CL claims.
• Ensures proper documentation and accuracy in all transactions and reporting.

Reporting

• Prepares and distributes daily, weekly, and month-end reports related to lending operations.
• Tracks and communicates key metrics to management and lending teams.

Audits & Compliance

• Assists with compliance reviews and internal audits to ensure accuracy, adherence to regulations, and process improvement.
• Maintains confidentiality and accuracy in all documentation and reporting.

Processes, Policies, and Procedures

• Adheres to credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while recommending refinements for efficiency.
• Adapts quickly to system updates, process changes, and compliance requirements.

Collaboration & Member Support

• Works closely with lenders, loan processors, and support teams to ensure smooth operations and strong communication.
• Provides consistent, proactive support to internal stakeholders to improve member and team experiences.

Community Engagement

• Represents RVCU positively in the community as a knowledgeable and approachable advocate of the credit union’s mission.

Requirements

• This is a part-time position in Machesney Park with partial remote flexibility after a training period.
• 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in a financial institution 
• The ability to speak bilingually is preferred, but not required. 
• Depending on your skills and experience, you could make between $19-$22 per hour
