Job Duties:

• The Medical Provider will assess and evaluate the delivery of psychiatric and physical care to clients in the program, ensuring that the services provided are in accordance with Knoxville Recovery Center's policies and procedures, standard operating procedures, philosophy, objectives, and mission statement.
• Work with a team of Advanced Practice Providers (NP/PA) to provide complete medical and psychiatric care at 36 bed inpatient drug and alcohol detox facility
• Conduct medical intakes and create detox orders for all new patients including complete history and physical exams, lab orders and interpretations, and management of both acute and chronic medical conditions including but not limited to hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, thyroid disorders, liver and kidney disease, and STIs
• Perform new patient psychiatric evaluations, diagnose various mental health disorders, and develop treatment plans including medication management for anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, bipolar, schizophrenia, borderline and other personality disorders
• Coordinate with clinical team including therapists, case management, and other support staff to provide a comprehensive patient experience during the entire course of treatment

Schedule:

• Flexible work schedule
• Part time: 20-30 hours/week
  • 10 hour shifts
  • Rotating Weekends

Requirements

Education:

• Masters Degree Required
• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
• National Board Certification Required
• New Grads Welcome!

License/Certification:

• Physician Assistant, Certified
• OR Nurse Practitioner or APRN, Certified
• Active TN State Medical License
• Active TN DEA License
