Job Description - Part-time Nanny in San Diego, CA for an 11-month-old and a 2-year-old

A bit about us:
We are a fun-loving family of 5, including our lovable pug, Toby! We enjoy being outdoors, staying active, and exploring kid-friendly activities. We love silly play, singing, dancing, board games, and going on adventures like trips to the zoo. We value clear communication, reliability, and flexibility. The work/life balance can be a challenge with young kiddos. We’re looking for someone who can balance childcare with household support, bringing both organization and fun into our daily routine.

Our 2-year-old daughter is creative and playful! She loves coloring, building stuff, singing, dancing, and painting. She also likes princess dress-up, climbing, and wrestling. She is usually at daycare from 9a-4p.

Our 11-month-old son likes doing and getting into whatever his big sister is doing. He joyful, silly and likes to laugh!

A bit about you:
You’re a playful, proactive, adaptable, and easy-going nanny. You enjoy being active outdoors, supporting children’s creativity, and engaging in both structured and spontaneous play. You are naturally an organized person and take pride in making parents’ lives easier!

Job Duties:
Household tasks make up 60-70% of this placement, which includes children’s laundry, folding family laundry, tidying (no deep cleaning), vacuuming, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and meal prep, supporting parents by maintaining routines and helping with household organization. Childcare tasks include naps, meals, and engaging activities, assisting with potty training and diaper changes, organizing creative play, indoor/outdoor activities, and outings (occasional mommy-and-me classes), driving children to outings, and ensuring open and transparent communication with parents.

Qualifications: 3-5 years of childcare experience with infants and toddlers, previous nanny experience with at least 2 families, CPR certification (or willing to get), intermediate cooking ability, Driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, willing to help with organizational tasks and tidying, comfortable in a home environment where parents are present.

Set yourself apart: If you happen to bring a teaching background, sports coaching, bilingual skills, or advanced culinary skills, our family would be thrilled!

Schedule: 3 Weekdays (8a-4p), (9a-5p) or (10a-6p)
                   OR
                   Monday-Friday (12-5p) or (1-6p)
                   Starts ASAP!

Pay: $24-$29 an hour
