Job Description - Part-time Nanny in San Marcos, CA for a 3-year-old and 1-year-old

A bit about us:
We’re an active, loving family of 5 with big personalities, including our 90lb fluffy dog named Janet. We enjoy sitting down to dinner every evening, reading to our kids, and enjoying time in nature. I am a really tidy and hardworking mom (working from home); we try to spend any free time we have with our two sweet kids. My husband works outside the home. He is a sporty, active Dad who is always playing with our kids when he’s home!

Our 1-year-old is a happy baby who loves people and animals! Her hobbies are eating and wrestling! She loves to tackle the dog and her big brother.

Our 3-year-old is an energetic toddler. He is loving ½ day preschool, and he articulates his needs well. His hobbies are playing outside, digging in the dirt, reading, and running around.

A bit about you:
You love dogs! You are outgoing, energetic, and like to stay busy! Working with a family that maintains a tidy home matches who you are naturally. You truly value the connections you make with children and parents. You’re looking for a long-term family who values the loving care you bring into their lives, and who you are. You’re present, playful, and observant. You like to get on children’s level and hear what they want to share with you!

Job Duties:
All childcare, including diaper changes, feeding kids, kids’ meal prep, playing, burping, soothing, following nap routine, ensuring safety, outdoor time, cleaning as you go after kids meal times and playtime, walking Janet sometimes, refilling Janet’s water bowl, packing preschool lunch, school drops offs and pick ups (using family vehicle), kids’ laundry, cleaning kitchen counters, washing baby bottles and dishes that are used for kids, running the Ruumba when needed, emptying the diaper pail, cleaning the changing table, organizing kids’ drawers and closets, and restocking diapers/wipes.

Qualifications: 2 years minimum of childcare experience with 1-4 year old children, physically active, high school graduate, able to read/write in English, comfortable with a large dog, infant/child CPR certified (willing to get), clean driving record, willing to work when children are mildly ill, basic cooking ability, and a safe driver.

Set yourself apart: You enjoy teaching children new things (such as Spanish or another skill you have), and are invested in their development and/or you love cooking (open to cooking family meals 1-2 times a week).

Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday (8a-4p)
Starting ASAP!

Pay: $27 an hour
