Part-time Nurse Practitioner - Addiction Treatment

CCLI is looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner with a generous heart to work in our Talbot House which is a 24-hour hour residential stabilization center licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction.  We are seeking those with a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat patients in accordance with advanced nursing practices and established protocols, writing and/or participating in a plan of care for each individual.


• Order and evaluate appropriate medical regimens including medications and relevant tests.


• Identify clients in need of further evaluation or specialized care, making referrals as appropriate.


• Collaborate with other health disciplines to ensure care continuity and facilitate treatment progress.


• Provide health counseling to clients to expedite recovery, stability and long-term wellness.   


• Consult with Medical Director/staff psychiatrist and professional staff when needed.


• Monitor and maintain appropriate records.


• Comply with governing regulations and Agency policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of physical health and substance use disorder treatment modalities.


• Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) experience preferred.


• Trauma-informed and client-centered care approach.


• Master’s degree in Nursing and must be eligible for NYS Board Certification as Nurse Practitioner.


• At least 2 years’ relevant experience demonstrating strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.


• NY Nurse Practitioner License.

Schedule: 4 hours per week and as needed

Rate of Pay: $70 per hour.

This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
