Job Description - (Part-Time) Pastoral Care Administrator
To retrieve and create a system of follow-up for all prayer cards and requests that are received each week, ensuring each is either followed up with personally or distributed to campus representatives for effective processing.
To create quarterly surveys or initiatives that can help gauge how members are being served and cared for at Turning Point Church in order to develop opportunities to help turn lapsed attendees and givers into faithful contributing members of the church.
To recruit, develop and provide oversight to all pastoral care teams, regularly developing new care processes to ensure members are receiving the highest quality of support during their time of need (i.e., illness, hospitalizations, pregnancies, etc).
Serve as a primary/central point of contact for all weddings and funerals requested by Turning Point Church members, as well as a liaison between requesting families and key staff to ensure all approved services are well supported.
To work with the executive team to develop and oversee a consistent process for expressing gratitude to new and top givers throughout the year, which may include cards, texts or scheduling meetings with key personnel (as needed).
Provide oversight and management for all benevolence requests from Turning Point Church members (or surrounding community), and work with campus pastors to determine those that can be fulfilled and administered and those that cannot.
Coordinate relationships with counseling partners or organizations in order to refer specific counseling or support services to members of Turning Point Church to utilize.
To work with the Associate Pastor to provide oversight to all active ministering and congregational elders, as well as developing new methods of training and discipling new pastoral care leaders.
Some of the preferred qualifications and/or requirements of this role are:
Associate and/or Bachelor's Degree
Able to work in a creative, highly collaborative environment
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Experience with conflict resolution and crisis management.
Possible previous experience working in a church, hospital, non-profit or charity work setting
Excellent oral and written communication
High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. •
