Part-Time Permit Technician

Photon Brothers is a leading provider of solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions committed to reducing our customers' carbon footprint and energy costs. We specialize in designing, installing, and maintaining energy storage and solar PV systems for residential and commercial clients.  

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team! This role is essential to our operations team—supporting solar installations through timely and accurate permitting processes. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit permit applications to local AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction).
• Track permit progress and proactively follow up with jurisdictions to ensure timely approvals.
• Maintain an organized digital and physical filing system of all permits and inspection documents.
• Communicate with customers, project managers, and utility companies regarding inspection scheduling and requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and design teams to ensure permit packages are complete and code-compliant.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of local codes and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
• Other permitting and interconnection tasks as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a permitting or administrative support role (solar or construction industry a plus).
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Strong communication, proactiveness, and organizational skills.
• Ability to research questions and find answers independently and with urgency.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
