Part-Time Pharmacy Technician

ProxsysRx is currently recruiting for a Part-Time licensed Pharmacy Technician for The Pharmacy at Ocean Springs. Our pharmacies are retail in nature, but also offer interesting differences from a typical retail setting with our bedside medication delivery program (Meds to Beds). On average this position will work 20 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours on a as needed basis. The ideal candidate will have availability in the afternoons and open availability Friday and Saturday. This opportunity is perfect for a pharmacy technician who enjoys interacting with their patients and who is open to broadening their pharmacy career.

Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge for adjudicating insurance claims and filling prescriptions efficiently.
• Accept written prescriptions or refill requests from patients and evaluating information for completeness and accuracy.
• Record medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Deliver quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests.
• Select and count appropriate medication, place in appropriate container, create pharmacy label, and places completed prescription in area for pharmacist to verify.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory audits and purchasing of medications and pharmacy supplies.

Requirements

• MS state licensed pharmacy technician.
• In good standing with the Mississippi state pharmacy board.
• Two or more years of pharmacy tech experience preferred.
• PTCB national license preferred.
• Must have open availability on Fridays up until 5:30pm.
• A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Strong communication skills.
