Position Overview

The Enterprise Family YMCA, part of the Association of YMCA of Greater Montgomery, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Preschool Teacher to join our team. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for preschool-aged children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote learning and development.


• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.


• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom.


• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities.


• Collaborate with YMCA staff to support program goals and maintain compliance with YMCA policies and licensing regulations.


• Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and any incidents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.


• Knowledge of early childhood development and best teaching practices.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work part-time hours as scheduled.


• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.


• Pass background checks and meet all YMCA hiring requirements.
