Part-Time Production Associates

S. Clyde Weaver is hiring two Part-Time Production Associates to work in our kitchen/production within our East Petersburg location. Production Associates are hands-on positions which involve producing food products for retail sales operations. 

The work shifts and hours are 4 shifts per week, Monday - Friday, with one day off per week. A typical shift would be 7 hours per day. Estimated 20-30 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Prepare ingredients and food products for processing, including measuring and weighing 

ingredients according to recipes.

• Follow recipes and production guidelines to prepare food items.


• Operate food processing equipment such as mixers, ovens, smoker, and dishwasher, ensuring they function correctly and safely.


• Prep and fulfill orders of sliced lunch meats and cheeses.


• Operate slicing equipment includes manual and automatic slicers, ensuring they function correctly and safely.


• Ability to adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring that food is prepared in a clean and safe environment.


• Package, weigh, and store finished food products, ensuring they meet established quality standards.


• Ensure the quality of final products through quality checks.


• Clean and sanitize work areas to maintain health and safety standards.


• Report any food safety issues to the supervisor promptly.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not always required.


• Previous experience in a food production or general production environment is advantageous.


• Understanding of food safety practices.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.


• Good communication and teamwork skills.


• Basic math and measurement skills to accurately measure and mix ingredients as per the recipe.


• Knowledge of food safety standards and ability to follow hygiene procedures to prevent food contamination.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand on feet for entire shift.


• Must be able to twist, bed, stoop, kneel, crouch.


• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
