Part-Time Quality Assurance Representative

Quality Roofing is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Representative to be the critical link between our customers, crews, and high standards of craftsmanship. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our roofing projects by effectively communicating with customers, coordinating with roofing crews, overseeing job site cleanliness, confirming materials, verifying completed work, and scheduling additional trades as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the duration of roofing projects.
  • Communicate project timelines, updates, and any issues or concerns to customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Address customer inquiries and ensure complete satisfaction with the quality of work.
• Crew Communication:
  • Ensure crew is aware of any special job instructions.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with crews to assess progress and address any issues or challenges that arise.
  • Assign and communicate work start dates and adjustments to schedule. 
  • Ensure completion of change order and supplemental materials needed on the job.
• Job Site Clean Up:
  • Inspect job sites regularly to ensure cleanliness.
  • Ensure proper protection of client's property and address any issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate with crews to promptly address any debris or hazards on site.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects.
• Photos of Job:
  • Take photos of roofing projects at various stages to document progress and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Compile a comprehensive portfolio of project photos for reference and documentation purposes.
• Material Confirmation:
  • Verify the accuracy and adequacy of materials delivered to job sites.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, procurement team, and sub-contractors to address any discrepancies or shortages in materials.
• Confirming Work is Complete:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of completed roofing projects to verify quality and completeness.
  • Document any deficiencies or outstanding work and coordinate with crews to address them promptly.
  • Obtain customer sign-off on completed work and ensure satisfaction with the finished product.
  • Ensure communication of additional trades needed.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Working Hours:
This is a part time position, typically scheduled for 3 to 4 weekdays, based on availability and business needs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in construction or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the roofing or construction industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, crews, and subcontractors.
• Proven track record of outstanding customer service experience.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and software for communication, documentation, and project management.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing and walking, which may be for extended periods of time

• Manipulation of objects and materials, including holding, grasping, turning, and touching
