Are you ready to have fun at work? Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a rapidly expanding, multidisciplinary outpatient private practice in need of a Front Office Assistant. At Leaps & Bounds, the family is the center of our mission, we work together on functional goals, and improve the quality of life for every family we serve. We are a fast-paced campus that offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services in a traditional clinical setting, as well as our ranch, with the incorporation of the horse as part of a comprehensive evidence-based plan (Hippotherapy).
The Front Office Assistant is responsible for providing patient-oriented service/customer service in a clinical and front office setting. Performing a variety of administration duties including greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, collecting copays and insurance payments, processing paperwork and all other related duties in a fast-paced, customer service focused clinical environment.
Schedule: 20 - 25 hours a week
(Shifts will include mornings, afternoons, and evenings)
Compensation:
$17.00 - $20.00 hourly
Job Duties:
Serve guests by greeting, welcoming and directing them appropriately
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Data entry, filing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing
Maintaining organization and cleanliness in the waiting room and common areas
Answer multiple phone lines, directs and takes messages
Communicates patient and insurance information; collects payments
Makes follow up appointments for patients and confirms appointments
Be knowledgeable about practices. Follow facility polices and procedure’s
Collect co-pays, deductibles and inquire on previous balances for patients upon arrival
Reminder calls to new evaluation patients on the day prior
Prepare intake packets as needed for all department
Collects payments for programs
Ability to multitask
Scheduling
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
H.S. Graduate
Previous medical office experience preferred
Ability to comprehend established office routines and policies
Ability to keep financial records and perform mathematical tasks
Knowledge of medical terminology
Understand HIPPA and OSHA regulations and privacy practices
Good organizational skills and multi-tasked abilities
Computer skills
Must be able to learn quickly from oral and written instructions
Must be dependable
Able to work well under pressure.
Ability to communicate well with people in personal contacts and on the phone.
Can be trusted with confidential information.
Can effectively act as a liaison between patients and physicians.
Must have a neat and friendly appearance, adhering to dress code
