Part-Time Receptionist

The Receptionist will supervise and provide program activities for youth between the ages of 6 and 18 within a designated Club including programs in the areas of Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, the Arts and Sports, and Fitness and Recreation.  This position is for 24 hours/week M-F from 2pm - 6pm (1 day a week shift is 11:30am - 5pm)

? Work at your site according to your schedule. Times may vary depending on the site.

? Assist in organizing and keeping site neat and clean each day.

? Report to work on time.

? Supervise all participants at all times. Students should never be left alone without a paid staff present.

? Assist in keeping site organized, clean, neat, and everything in its place each day.

? Write proper documentation in reporting incidents and accidents and turn into the Site Coordinator.

? Assist in ensuring that all authorized parents or guardians sign their child in and out of every program. All participants need to sign in to attend the program.

? Preferred verbal and written Spanish skills.

? One to two years of experience working with data processing, accounting, record keeping or administrative support

? Effective interpersonal skills (including oral and written communication) particularly with youth, parents, school administrators, and other staff members

? Experience in overall problem solving

? Ability to pass a background check.

? Ability to manage childhood development issues in a “casework” environment with emphasis on the safeguarding of confidential records and personal information as well as the safety of the members

? Ability to use basic electronic tools to design and implement reporting programs as well as the utilization of BGCA approved methods.

? Attend all trainings and meetings as required even if scheduled outside normal working or regular scheduled hours.

? Must be able to work autonomously within the BGCWD core values.
