Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all cleaning duties according to the established scope of work.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of compost, recycling, and trash following campus guidelines.
- Regularly sanitize and disinfect high-touch areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Notify the Facilities Manager promptly about any maintenance issues or hazards discovered during cleaning rounds.
- Maintain open communication with the Executive Director and Assistant Director by documenting updates and concerns in a provided journal.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure cleaning products and equipment are used according to guidelines.
- Collaborate with the facilities team to support broader maintenance and operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous professional cleaning experience is preferred, especially in educational or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and equipment use.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow a structured scope of work.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with the facilities team, executive director, and assistant director.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check to be eligible to work in a school environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Comfortable working after hours in an indoor environment.
