Part-Time Security Officer - Overnight

Shift Schedule: 7pm - 7am

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Overnight Security Officer to provide safety and security at a residential apartment community. The Security Officer will patrol the property, monitor for suspicious activity, respond to resident concerns, and ensure a safe, quiet environment for all tenants during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the property, including common areas, parking lots, and building entrances.


• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or policy violations, and take appropriate action.


• Respond promptly to noise complaints, disturbances, or resident concerns, de-escalating situations when possible.


• Secure doors, gates, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry.


• Document all incidents and observations in detailed written reports.


• Work closely with property management and law enforcement if issues arise.


• Provide visible presence to deter trespassing, vandalism, or other safety risks.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or customer service preferred.


• Must be at least 21 years of age.


• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.


• Ability to remain alert and professional throughout overnight shifts.


• Capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.


• Must possess a valid security license or guard card.


• Familiarity with residential or community environments is a plus.

Work Environment:
This is an overnight position within a residential apartment community. The Security Officer must remain attentive, professional, and approachable while ensuring a safe and peaceful environment for all residents.
