Compensation:

• Starting range of pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. 

Work schedule:

• Flexible Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST (4+ hour shifts). Early hours are preferred. 

Job Summary & Objective: 

The Part-Time Shipping Specialist (Shipping Associate) will be responsible for picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, as well as handling general warehouse tasks.  This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that requires regular lifting of heavy boxes and the safe use of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.  On-the-job training will be provided.

Essential Functions: 

• Pick and pack customer orders for shipping.
• Manually lift, move, and stack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. 
• Maintain inventory and shipping materials.
• Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare shipping boxes, labels, and documentation.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
• Track outgoing shipments and update order records accurately.
• Assist with receiving and unloading incoming inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support other warehouse duties as needed

Requirements

Education and Qualification Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable with physically demanding work, including lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment. 
• Ability to maintain UPS data, print shipping labels, and utilize shipping software.

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous warehouse, shipping, or manual labor experience.
• Familiarity with pallet jacks and warehouse/inventory processes.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: 

• Vision acuity is required to include close vision, color vision, distant vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to grasp objects such as a telephone or computer mouse, finger dexterity to use a keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment
• Ability to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and move boxes while on ladders. 
• Ability to frequently stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to hear and talk, both in person and by phone.
• Ability to spend extended hours in front of a computer screen or a warehouse environment.
