DESCRIPTION
Blake Farms is looking for an experienced Driver to join our growing team! We are looking for a driver with a valid license, or Chauffer license to work on a flexible, part-time schedule to assist with our growing demands for local deliveries.  The perfect candidate will have a flexible schedule working 3-4 days per week as demand necessitates.  Our needs are for local, in-state, deliveries only, and you will be home each night, no overnight runs ever.   

This position is a part time, seasonal, non-exempt position and offers:  

• Excellent pay and benefits.  Dedicated accounts.  Great supervisors.   
• Shift –?This is a part-time position - approx 25-30 hours a week. Hours can fluctuate and be 40 at some times. The ability to work a flexible schedule is a requirement. 
• Equipment – Transit Van 
• Compensation – Hourly 
• Potential to become a full time and year-round position 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Drives trucks or automobiles over established routes to deliver and sell products, collect money from customers, by performing the following duties. 

Includes the following and other duties may be assigned: 

• Supports Blake Farms Core Values and Purpose 
• Drives truck to deliver such items as wine, jarred goods, wholesale produce, and bakery products to customers' place of business. 
• Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. 
• Collects money from customers and records transactions on customer receipt. 
• Loads and unloads truck. 
• Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit. 
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. 
• Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise. 
• Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment. 
• Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations. 
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. 
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route. 
• Cleans the inside of the truck. 
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. 
• Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs. 
• Assist coworkers as needed in daily and weekly preventative maintenance 

REQUIREMENTS 

• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents 
• Must have clean driving record 
• Reliable and customer oriented 
• Safety oriented 
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job 
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, driving record verification and criminal history) and drug screening required.

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.  The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach hands and arms. 
• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area. 
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required 
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs 
• Willingness to travel as necessary within the district (other nearby locations, close geographical area and training sites), work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
