PART TIME/PER DIEM RECEPTIONIST & CASHIER

Looking to make a difference at a local nonprofit with a flexible schedule?  The Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, RI is looking for a per diem receptionist to fill in scheduling gaps.  Our Welcome Center is open seven days a week from 9am—5pm, you would be responsible for answering phones, directing visitors, processing gift shop sales and accepting deliveries.  We are looking for a  permanent per-diem staff member to join our fun and team-oriented staff on an as-needed basis.  

Requirements

 High school diploma or relevant work experience

· Weekend Availability

· Able to provide a minimum of two professional references

· Excellent communication skills

· Flexible and adaptable (we have busy and slow seasons)

· Passion for customer service, conservation, environmental education, and access to nature
