GET THE JOB DONE (The necessary stuff)

• Arrive at your station ready to work at scheduled time and in proper uniform
• Work at a brisk and steady pace
• Recipe knowledge when prepping or assisting with any other production step
• Use scales, measuring spoons, recipe cards and perform portion control tests
• Maintain the kitchen and all of its equipment to a “like new” condition
• Clean as you go
• Practice the importance of producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceed the guests’ needs in a timely and efficient manner
• Prepare a variety of baked goods and pastries including, but not limited to: Cookie Doughs, Cakes, Brownies, Muffins, Breakfast Breads, Custards, mousses, etc.
• Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
• Knowledge of how baking ingredients work together and how they can be used in creative ways
• Attention to detail
• Physical strength and stamina to spend long hours standing and performing repetitive motions
• Assist in the training of new pastry employees
• Active participation in collaborative effort dates, assisting with duties outside your typical realm of responsibility during all hands on deck dates (within reason and with advance notice)
• Other job duties as assigned

Additional Qualifications and Requirements:

· In process of or Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts, or 2 years Production Pastry experience with a Bakery, Caterer, or Restaurant

· Safe food handling and safety is a top priority

· Professional appearance and conduct

· Team player
