The Cafe Attendant performs varied tasks to ensure the orderly operation of the PDI store, located in PDI’s main facility. The PDI store serves people served and employees and is an important part of PDI’s mission and service philosophy.

Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide friendly and professional customer service

• Receive and fill orders for food and drink from customers

• Accept payment from customers and make changes as necessary

• Record orders from people served and compute bills using a cash register

• Maintain information and follow dietary requirements for people served

• Prepare and serve hot drinks, cold drinks, and food items using machines and appliances including

      Soft drink dispensing machine, Water dispensing machine, Popcorn machine, Nacho cheese preparation machine, Coffee maker, and Food processor, Prepare and serve simple foods such as salads and nachos. Cook or re-heat food items such as hot dogs and nachos

• Clean and organize service areas including Surfaces, Coolers, and Sinks

• Wash and sanitize equipment after use following safety procedures and protocols

• Notify supervisor of food and supply shortages and inventory requirements

• Coordinate cash management procedures with the Finance department

* Follow procedures and safety protocols for food preparation area clean-up and sanitation

• Vehicle use

     o This position does not require that you drive a personal vehicle or PDI vehicle on PDI business
