Job Description - Patient Registrar - Part Time 6am-6pm

SUMMARY:  The patient receptionist is responsible for greeting the community upon entrance to the Hospital. Also responsible for answering and routing calls accurately and efficiently being courteous and professional.


 


 EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.


 


JOB KNOWLEDGE: Competent with phone systems. Computer literacy


 


INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Work requires exceptional interpersonal skills to interview and obtain information from patients and interact with other Hospital personnel and outside personnel.


 


OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes highly emotional area, where the performance and concentration of several tasks may be required. Able to determine priorities.


 


LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


 


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
