Pediatric Hospitalist Physician Needed for Locums Coverage

Georgia Medical Staffing is in need of a pediatric hospitalist to provide locums coverage to a facility in Sheffield, AL.

No set hours specifically. Schedule open for discussion.

$185 per hour

Malpractice provided

Mileage Paid

Lodging paid, if needed

Pediatric Hospitalist:

Level 2 Nursery - can administer surfactant and do vapotherm.

Try not to deliver before 34 weeks. If a micropreemie is born, alternate hospital automatically comes to transport.

*Working on a plan to have babies that get shipped to alternate hospital NICU but don’t need level 1 care anymore to be sent back for feed & grow.

Hospital call for nursery and pediatric floor.

Nursery - can hold 21, busy is 14 and average is 4-8

                  well-baby nursery and a level 2

Peds floor - busy is 8-10 but average is 2-4

No ER call but may be consulted for advice on a patient.

Average 70-80 births per month.

Preferred procedures for hospital call:

Circumcision

Vapotherm- get support from respiratory

Infant intubation

LP

Requirements

Must have AL license

Must have pediatric hospitalist experience

Must pass medical and criminal background check
