Job Description - Periodontal Office Sterilization Tech

Job Summary
Our friendly periodontal office seeks a caring and hard-working Sterilization Tech to help with our ever-increasing workload.

Job duties will include sterilizing dental instruments, organizing exam and surgical instrument kits, cleaning operatories between patients, and at the end of the day. Our ideal candidate has some experience with dental offices and sterilization procedures. There is no surgical chairside work required for this position.

We are a digital office, running a Dentrix system, so experience with Dentrix is also a plus.

Hours for this position are Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Responsibilities

Process dental instruments and patient care items through the sterilization process safely and efficiently, utilizing modern infection control protocols

Maintain sterilization equipment, following manufacturer maintenance guidelines and intervals

Turn over the operatories, transporting dirty instruments to the sterilization area for processing

Set up treatment rooms for the next patient procedure

Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies

Qualifications

Current CPR/AED

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Experience with Dentrix or general computer literacy is preferred but not required

Compensation: $28.00 per hour

SF Implants and Perio serves San Francisco and the entire Bay Area with compassionate, expert care for dental implants, extractions, gum grafts, cosmetic dentistry, deep cleanings, and minimally-invasive treatment of all forms of periodontal disease.
