Personal Housekeeper

Employment Status: Part-Time 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly, 15 hours per week 

Reports to: Pastor

Summary: The Personal Housekeeper will run errands, clean, sanitize and maintain areas by providing cleaning services for the assigned resident.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide overall cleanliness and sanitation of the assigned property.
• Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned property.
• Laundry to include but not limited to cleaning and steaming laundry, ironing and folding clothes, and organizing items.
• Cleans and disinfects all areas of home.
• Washes dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, and pans.
• Wipes and dusts surfaces in rooms and cleans mirrors.
• Removes linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets for laundering.
• Stocks towels, washcloths, and hand towels in bathrooms.
• Dispose of trash/recycle.
• Dust and clean ceiling, air vents, surface areas, counter surfaces and polish furniture.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters.
• Run errands as needed by resident.
• Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
• Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
• Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral policy is mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Education sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the job.
• High School Degree or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• At least four (4) years of working as a Housekeeper.
• Experience providing housekeeping services in a private home setting preferred.
• Basic fluency in Spanish.
• Practicing Catholic or familiarity with the Catholic Church preferred.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

• Comprehensive knowledge of safety and hygiene practices and regulations;
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning methods and operation of housekeeping equipment;
• Proven commitment to providing a high standard of care and concern;
• History of ability to work independently towards task completion and achievement of quality standards;
• Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions;
• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of resident;
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills;
• Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor toward resident and visitors to the property;
• A solid grasp of cleaning and organizing;
• Must have good written and verbal skills.
