Job Description - Pharmacy Technician Instructor

Position Title: Pharmacy Technician Instructor

Overview:
Fit4basic, LLC is seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician Instructor. The role involves instructing aspiring pharmacy technicians on the essentials of the profession, with a particular focus on high school students. With the demand for pharmacy technicians projected to increase substantially, this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of individuals entering the healthcare sector. The instructor will play a crucial role in preparing senior high school students to work under the supervision of registered pharmacists in various healthcare settings.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive and engaging classes on pharmacy technician practices, regulations, and responsibilities tailored for senior high school students.

Instruct students on drug classifications, dosage calculations, and pharmaceutical terminology.

Provide hands-on training in simulated pharmacy environments.

Stay abreast of industry developments, new drugs, and changes in regulations to ensure current and relevant instruction.

Foster a positive and interactive learning environment for senior high school students.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a certified pharmacy technician.

Demonstrated experience in instructing or training pharmacy technicians.

In-depth knowledge of drug classifications, dosage calculations, and pharmaceutical terminology.

Familiarity with the national shortage of registered pharmacists and the role of pharmacy technicians in meeting healthcare demands.

Commitment to staying informed about updates and changes in pharmacy regulations and practices.

Familiarity with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and its certification processes.

Compensation: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
