Position Summary


The Physical Therapist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment services to infants, children, and adolescents using evidence-based, child- and family-centered practices. Working collaboratively with families and an interdisciplinary team, the Physical Therapist develops individualized treatment plans that promote functional mobility, independence, participation, and quality of life.


Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations using standardized assessments, clinical observation, and caregiver interviews.

  • Interpret physician referrals and determine appropriate evaluation and treatment strategies.

  • Develop individualized plans of care that include measurable short- and long-term goals, treatment frequency, and duration.

  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions that support each child's functional development and participation in daily activities.

  • Collaborate with families to establish meaningful goals and provide education that supports progress beyond the therapy session.

  • Maintain a full-time caseload that may include children receiving services through insurance, private pay, consultation, and school-based contracts.

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, educators, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Complete accurate, timely documentation that demonstrates medical necessity and complies with payer and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical meetings, and ongoing professional development.

  • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and physical therapy students, as appropriate.


Qualifications



  • Current Oklahoma Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure within six (6) months of hire.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage time effectively while maintaining documentation and productivity expectations.

  • Commitment to evidence-based, family-centered pediatric care.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

  • Pediatric experience is preferred but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
