Miami Valley Hospital\n\nPhysical Therapist\n\n * Part-Time | Outpatient - Rio Beavercreek clinic\n\n\n\n \n\nEnjoy 45-minute one-on-one follow-up appointments, and 1-hour initial assessments \n\n \n\nThe Physical Therapist assumes a dynamic leadership role on the interdisciplinary patient care teams. This individual identifies patient care needs, develops a plan of care and goals in collaboration with the patient, provides a wide variety of treatment techniques within the scope of practice, provides education and support to patients/families, and facilitates continuing care planning.\n\n \n\nWill participate in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. Responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.\n\n \n\nEducation: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program\n\n \n\nLicensure / Certification / Registration\n\n * Current Physical Therapy license in State of Ohio.\n * BLS certification required within 30 days of hire\n\n\n\n \n\nExperience\n\n * Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience; new graduates welcome\n * Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience.\n\n\n\n \n\nKnowledge/Skills\n\n * Able to multi-task with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.\n * Dependable, flexible and adaptable to change.\n * Teamwork oriented. Display tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.\n * Strong analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills.\n * Effective oral and written communication skills.\n * Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.\n * Basic computer knowledge and skills.\n\n\n\n \n\nEssential Duties \u0026 Functions:\n\n * Evaluates, treats, documents, delegates, and discharges patients per service guidelines.\n * Engages in interdisciplinary patient care management.\n * Bills appropriately for services and supplies provided as indicated through matching of documentation and service charges.\n * Provides oversight of Physical Therapist Assistants.\n * Provides patient/family education.\n * Participates in programs/service performance improvement activities.\n * Manages case load per department standards.\n * Engages in patient satisfaction efforts and looks for opportunities to ensure that all patients have a satisfying experience.\n * Passes all required hospital/department competencies and related testing; applies to everyday performance.\n\n\n
