Physical Therapist (PT) - School Setting

SpeechCom Inc. is hiring a part-time, CA licensed Physical Therapist for the 2025-26 school year to serve a school district in the Encinitas area of San Diego County.

Hourly Rate: $64.00 to $74.00 per hour W2 (Based upon experience)

• Part Time: 84 Hours of Student Services Per Year
• Flexible Schedule (Monday through Friday)
• Caseload of 17 Students (If caseload grows, services will adjust/increase accordingly)
• Additional Paid Work Hours for IEP meetings, evaluations, progress reports, assessment reports)
• CA License Required
• Caseload info: School setting; includes all grade levels
• Mileage reimbursement when traveling between school sites during the work day
• Responsibilities: Working towards goals that are created through an IEP, support with evals., providing consult on equipment that students will need to access their education while at school and various other PT duties

• Conduct Evaluations to assess students gross motor skills, balance, strength, posture, endurance, mobility, and physical development.
• Review medical records and school records with interdisciplinary team, parents, and teachers to gather relevant information.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments as part of the IEP (Individualized Education Plan) or 504 plan process.
• Maintain professional communication and boundaries with parents and district staff.
• Provide therapeutic services per student's IEP within the school setting.
