Schedule: Highly flexible; Monday – Friday, no evenings, weekends, or holidays 


Location: Toledo, Ohio- 


 


Position Summary: 
Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) is seeking a part-time Pediatrician to join our Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Care Team. The Pediatrician plays an essential role in providing high-quality, accessible healthcare to children and families in our community, with a specific focus on improving health outcomes, promoting prevention, and addressing healthcare disparities among underserved populations. 


The PCMH model fosters collaboration across clinical disciplines, emphasizing patient-centered care, increased access to services, and empowering individuals to take an active role in managing their health. 


This position is ideal for a mission-driven physician seeking flexible hours with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of children in Northwest Ohio. 


 


Key Responsibilities: 



  • Provide outpatient pediatric care to NHA patients in accordance with clinical best practices and organizational policies. 

  • Collaborate with the PCMH Care Team, including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, behavioral health staff, and care coordinators to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. 

  • Support NHA’s mission by delivering high-quality care to underserved and vulnerable populations. 

  • Promote patient education, prevention, and self-management strategies to improve long-term health outcomes. 

  • Participate in clinical team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities. 

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system. 

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, clinical, and ethical standards of care. 

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and the organization’s mission. 


 


Position Requirements: 



  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. 

  • Current, unrestricted Ohio medical license. 

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics. 

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical skills. 

  • Commitment to providing culturally competent, patient-centered care to diverse populations. 

  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems and clinical documentation. 

  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, team-based care environment. 

  • Demonstrated dedication to health equity, prevention, and community-focused care.
