Piano Instructor (Part-Time)

Description

 We are searching for a talented and dependable piano teacher to join our school. To be successful as a piano teacher, you should demonstrate excellent instructional skills and patience. Outstanding candidates are lifelong learners who are continually improving their skills. The ability to teach another instrument is a plus! 

The piano teacher’s responsibilities include evaluating students’ needs and preparing lessons that will help them achieve their goals. You will also prepare students for recitals and exams and communicate with parents frequently.

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours. Available teaching hours are Monday-Friday (3:00-8:00 pm) and Saturday (9:30 am-5:00 pm)

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be $42-52/hour for private lessons. Eligible employees can take advantage of paid sick leave and a 401(K) program with employer matching.

Requirements

· Teach in-person lessons at Newark studio (Newark, CA)

· Bachelor's degree in piano performance/music/music education preferred

· At least 1year of teaching experience preferred

· Excellent communication skills 

· Be responsible, punctual, organized, and patient

· Authorization to work in the US
