The Plant Shop at Aspen Ridge Lawn and Landscaping is seeking a motivated individual to lead our community events and classes. The Aspen Ridge Plant Shop Event Organizer will plan, organize, and execute community events and classes.   The event coordinator will manage every detail from concept/planning to completion.  

Role:

Plant Shop Event Coordinator

Roles

1. Generates class, community event, and workshop ideas for the Plant Shop at Aspen Ridge


2. Complete event/plan document and submits to Garden Center Manager for approval.


3. Responsible for ensuring that all event/class information is sent to marketing in a timely manner and approving marketing strategies prior to print/posting


4. Works with marketing to keep website event calendar up to date


5. Teaches classes and/or delegates teaching to other staff members


6. Works with plant shop staff on set-up and clean-up of all events


7. Partners with Garden Center Manager to obtain needed class supplies


8. Responsible for setting event/class budget, tracking cost vs. revenue


9. Networking with community businesses for event partnerships


10. Aware of goals and timelines of the projects


11. Maintains a clean, safe, and professional workspace.


12. Completes required paperwork and forms.

Jobs Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Valid driver’s license 


• Excellent Communication Skills

Preferred:

• Gardening/plant knowledge


• Sales Experience


• Prior teaching experience

Job Type: Part-Time 16-24 hours per week

Schedule: Day, Weekend, and Evening Hours
