Pre-Owned Department Manager

Description of the role:

Keffer Mazda, a renowned automotive dealership in Huntersville, North Carolina, is seeking a highly motivated and EXPERIENCED Pre-Owned Department Manager to join our team. As the Pre-Owned Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the pre-owned vehicle inventory, ensuring optimal operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service to enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the pre-owned vehicle inventory, including acquisition, pricing, merchandising, and reconditioning


• Pencil and close deals to maximize department profitability


• Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective pricing strategies and promotions to maximize sales and profitability


• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and repairs are completed promptly and accurately


• Supervise and train department staff, providing guidance and support to achieve team objectives


• Maintain a high level of customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner


• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth


• Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed


• Prepare reports on inventory status, sales performance, and profitability for management review

Requirements:

• Previous experience in dealership pre-owned department management


• Strong leadership and team management skills


• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities


• Proficient in inventory aquisition, management, and pricing strategies


• Knowledge of automotive industry trends and customer preferences


• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
