Part-Time Preschool Aide / Co-Teacher
St. Robert Catholic School in Flushing, Michigan is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Preschool Aide/Co-Teacher to support our early childhood program. This position plays an important role in creating a nurturing, faith-filled environment where young children can grow socially, academically, and spiritually.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
● Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lessons and classroom activities
● Support a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
● Work with small groups and individual students to reinforce learning
● Help supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and transitions
● Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom space
● Model Christian values and support the Catholic mission of the school
● Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student development
Qualifications:
● High school diploma required; coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
● Experience working with young children preferred
● Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative
Additional Requirements:
● Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of the school
● Completion of background check and Protecting God’s Children program
● Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children (lifting, bending, active supervision)
