Job Description - Pre-School Late Stay Teacher Assistant

Job Title: Pre-School Late Stay Teacher Assistant

Reports To: Director of Little Rams

Time Status: Part Time

JOB SUMMARY

The Pre-School Late Stay Teacher Assistant will reflect high professional standards, integrity, and a commitment to excellence within a Christian school environment. The Pre-School Late Stay Teacher Assistant selected for this position should have prior experience working with young children and assisting in a classroom setting.

SPIRITUAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Professing believer in Jesus Christ with a strong Christian faith and lifestyle

- Ability to articulate and integrate a biblical worldview in all aspects of teaching

- Affirm and communicate doctrine consistent with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 revision, and The Nashville Statement - linked below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

Required to work under the direct supervision of late stay teachers.

Assist in all activities and classroom management.

Ensure the safety and well-being of the students.

Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the student's family, allowing the teacher to address concerns with parents.

Establish a professional level of rapport with each family.

Change diapers when needed and assist with bathroom breaks for students and teachers.

Be available each school day from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Be willing and able to substitute for a class if a late stay teacher must be absent.

Follow security guidelines when a child is being picked up for the day.

Maintain a servanthood attitude.

Perform other duties as assigned.
