We are seeking an energetic and experienced Teacher to join our team! As a Teacher, you will lead a class of students through a successful school year, creating and implementing a comprehensive educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching little ones!

Responsibilities:

Plan a classroom curriculum that meets school standards

Encourage the development of students’ critical thinking skills

Prepare any necessary learning materials

Take attendance

Document students’ learning progress

Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment

Report and document behavioral incidents

Qualifications:

High School degree or higher, CDA preferred

Previous experience teaching at the preschool level is preferred

Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

We are a child-centered school that develops and nurtures the foundations for academic, spiritual, physical and emotional growth.

We accept children 18 months - 5 years old as of September 1st. Hours are 9:00am-4:00pm.

Cornerstone Preschool has been serving the needs of the community since 1985. We are a state-licensed facility and operate five days per week. From the youngest ages, our programs are built to prepare the children academically, socially, emotionally and physically for kindergarten and beyond. Our program is foundational for the future, and our children learn through center-based play.
