Press Packer Weekend 1st Shift

What You'll Do:

• Has primary responsibility to perform initial visual quality check on metal stampings, while efficiently packing stampings in appropriate containers in order to ensure a quality product is available to internal and external customers. Performs additional quality checks as necessary, records information in system, and performs general utility work to ensure production schedules are met.


• Performs all duties to ensure department and plant meet daily and weekly production requirements.


• Frequently loads, unloads, lifts/moves, pulls/pushes, and/or positions products and materials weighing up to 40 pounds, occasionally weighing more (assistance given with heavier objects by work partner[s]), throughout assigned work center. Press Packing operations involve frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, turning, and lifting.


• Properly packs parts in correct pin/storage container per packaging instructions to meet customer requirements. Ensures proper labeling requirements are followed. Uses personal computer (PC), PLEX system, keyboard, and mouse.


• Must properly inspect all parts/material per the quality standards


• Adhere to safety rules of the plant – including PPE requirements

What You Need to Have:

• Must be 18 years of age or older


• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)


• Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions.


• Ability to use a variety of gauges (functional, go/no go) required


• Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than eight (8) hours per day.


• Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.


• Must be able to pass necessary Lock Out/Tag Out testing


• Reliable regarding attendance and performance

Shift/Hours: 

• 5:00am-5:00pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday
