Starlight Music Lessons is currently looking for music teachers to provide lessons in students' homes. Teachers are especially needed for the following instruments:
Piano
Guitar
Violin
Voice  (NOTE: To be considered as a voice teacher, you must also be able to teach one of the above instruments)

You will be matched with students who live near you. You decide which cities/areas in which you want to teach, and you create your own hours. (The majority of our students are available between 3 and 8:30 pm Monday - Fridays, and some availability on weekends).
We are not considering candidates who are only teaching online as most of our students want in-person lessons.

Positions available for experienced teachers as well as first-time teachers. Our exclusive training program will prepare a first-time teacher who has a solid music background.

We currently need teachers in all areas of DFW, including:
Allen, Anna, Celina, Coppell, Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, Frisco, Grapevine, Irving, Keller, Lewisville, McKinney, Melissa, Plano, Prosper, Southlake, and more.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to add a few extra students to their current schedule, or for those who can wait a little for their student roster to grow. Students typically come one or two at a time, so you will need patience to watch your roster grow. Teachers who stick with us for at least 6 months usually gain a nice part-time roster of students. We are not offering immediate students. If you are hired you will create a profile and we will recommend you as a teacher for new enrollments.

PAY RATE: $50 per teaching hour. For each student that you teach a 30 minute weekly lesson, you will be reimbursed $80/month for teaching + $20/month for travel. This is a total of $100/month per student.

INTERVIEWS: Interviews will be held ASAP and scheduled with those individuals who meet pre-screening qualifications.

APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
*Must have a strong background in the instrument you are applying for.
*Teaching Experience is preferred, though we can train the right person to teach.
*Must have a H.S. Diploma.
*Advanced skill level on instrument
*Must have experience with children and enjoy working with children.
*Must have own transportation.
*Minimum age 18 per OSHA and client insurance requirements.
*Must pass a criminal background check and/or FBI Background Check.
 

All teaching positions are independent contractor positions. Note that we are not able to offer employment/visa sponsorship at this time.
