PRN QMAP/Caregiver

Job Details:

• Position: PRN
• Number of Openings: 2
• Schedule Options: Days, Evenings, Overnights
  
• Responsibilities:
• Provide care and support to residents in a compassionate and respectful manner.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and medication reminders.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
• Monitor and respond to clients' needs throughout your shift.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team to ensure quality care delivery.
• Document and report any significant changes in clients' condition to the appropriate supervisor.
• Administers medications to residents based on the seven Rights; Person, Right Drug, Right Dose, Right Route, Right Time, Right Documentation, Right of the Client to Refuse
• Reorders medication in a timely manner
• Follows Community Policies and Procedures on medication administration Keeps medication cart clean and well stocked, reporting any out-of-stock medicine and refused medicine to the appropriate Community resource Keeps medication cart clean and well stocked, reporting any out-of-stock medicine and refused medicine to the appropriate Community resource.
• Charts all medication administrations in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a caregiver is preferred but not required. We provide comprehensive training to all team members.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• QMAP certification is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Hard Working
• Accountable
• Eager to learn and to be a part of a strong team.
• Pass Background Check – NO DRUG CHARGES
• Pass Routine TB Test

Requirements

• QMAP certification is highly desirable.
• 1 year of memory care or long-term care experience
