Description

CPIhealth is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals experiencing chronic pain. With state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technology, and a collaborative environment, we offer a platform for healthcare providers to excel in their specialties while making a profound difference in the lives of those we serve. 

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced per diem Procedure Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Denver, CO. Our nurses play a critical role ensuring patient safety and well-being during procedures. This involves assessing patients, preparing them for the procedure, monitoring vital signs, and providing post-procedure care and instructions.  

Our nurses do not work on evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call!

  • Assessing patients' medical histories and current conditions to determine their suitability for the procedure and any potential risks.  
  • Preparing patients for the procedure by explaining the process, gathering supplies, positioning patients on the procedure table, and administering pain/anxiolytic medications as ordered.  
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and other physiological parameters during the procedure, providing emotional support and answering questions.  
  • Providing post-procedure instructions, administering medications, and monitoring patients for complications.  
  • Gathering, organizing, and managing supplies needed for the procedure, as well as accounting for supplies used.  
  • Assisting physicians with procedures and examinations, including setting up equipment and passing instruments.  
  • Adhering to safety standards and precautions to maintain a sterile and safe environment for both the patient and the medical team.  
  • Accurately documenting all aspects of patient care and procedure details.  
  • Educating patients and their families about the procedure, potential risks, and post-procedure care.  
  • Responding to emergencies that may arise during procedures, including knowing how to use emergency equipment and administering medications. 
  • Consistently follows the Nursing Plan of Care for the patient.
  • Participates and maintains safety and dignity of patient at all times.
  • Effectively communicates with all providers and staff members.
  • Accurately monitor, record, and report on patients’ medical information and vital signs.
  • Instruct individuals, families and other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, and develop health improvement programs.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality (HIPAA)

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program. 
  • Previous related experience preferred. 
  • Experience with EMR (NextGen/ECW) preferred.
  • Ability to independently apply skills and job knowledge with supervision.
  • Strong organizational, judgment, communication and analytical skills; sometimes under pressure.   
  • Ability to multi-task and perform multiple priorities.  
  • Cooperative and professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, management and visitors.
  • Awareness of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  • Ability to promote favorable facility image with patients, providers, insurance companies and general public.
  • Ability to independently make decisions and solve problems; ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Evidence of leadership qualities. The ability to contribute in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
