Interested in learning hands-on manufacturing skills while working for a company with a real mission and room to grow?

Why You'll Love Working with Us:

  • Work that truly matters: The products you help build protect children, give parents peace of mind, and solve real, life-impacting problems for special needs families.
  • Cause over corporate: This is a for-profit company with a nonprofit heart, guided by empathy, quality, and problem-solving in daily decisions.
  • A team that cares: You're not just a number here—you're part of a close-knit team that supports one another and takes pride in meaningful work.
  • Real growth opportunities: Learn new skills, cross-train in other departments, and tier up as you gain experience.
  • A company with purpose and credibility: Abram's Nation has been serving families worldwide for over a decade and was named one of the best places to work in the Pittsburgh area.

Abram's Nation is a family-owned manufacturer with over a decade of experience, creating innovative products that improve the lives of special needs families worldwide through thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship.

What You'll Do as a Production Associate:

  • Learn fabrication, assembly, inspection, and shipping processes through paid, on-the-job training in a manufacturing environment.
  • Receive, unbox, & stock inventory between the warehouse and production floor.
  • Cut, bend, & drill aluminum to fabricate product frames.
  • Use hand tools and shop equipment, including band saws, drills, files, hammers, and pliers.
  • Complete the framing process from start to finish using pre-set measurements.
  • Prepare & sand cut pieces before assembly.
  • Add hardware and assemble frames according to work instructions.
  • Inspect completed frames to company standards and communicate any issues.
  • Package and ship finished products for outgoing orders.

Our Ideal Production Associate:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, assembly, or shipping environment is preferred, but we welcome entry-level candidates; paid, on-the-job training is provided, including the opportunity to learn CNC machine operation.
  • Other skills: Basic math skills and comfort using tools such as saws, drills, presses, and other shop equipment.
  • Attention to detail: Focused on doing things right and ensuring products meet quality and inspection standards.
  • Motivated: Able to work well independently, stay productive, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable: Dependable, punctual, and consistent in showing up and following through.
  • Team player: Works well with others and helps where needed to keep production moving.
  • Computer skills: Basic computer skills required; experience with Google Workspace, NetSuite, ERP systems, or CNC-related software is a plus.
  • Active: Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted (80–100 lbs. with assistance), work around machinery and tools, stand or sit for extended periods, and bend, stretch, squat, and reach regularly.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation, as the facility is not on a bus route.

What we offer our Production Associate:

  • Hourly pay of $16-$20, depending on experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision stipend
  • Simple IRA with 3% company match
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Full-time & part-time positions available

  • A mission-driven, family-owned company where your work directly supports special needs families
