Production Specialist (Seasonal, full-time, part-time & flex) available

Description

Seasonal full-time and part-time, and flex staff needed, non-exempt, employee. Reporting to COO, DOO, Warehouse Supervisor, and possible Lead. 

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Material handling, packing, and hand assembly. Counting, inserting, stacking, rubber-banding, sorting, stapling, and collating.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position, align, and secure workpieces or plastic material against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies. Inserts parts into partial assembly during various stages of assembly to complete product.

Counts finished product to determine completion of production order. Places product in equipment or on the work surface for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping. Separates product according to weight, grade, size, and composition of the material used to produce the produced product.

Statement of Purpose: The purpose of PDI’s at-will Production Intern is to provide exceptional experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory with practical application and skill development in a professional setting that aims to increase the quality and quantity of those seeking careers in production-type environments. This program also allows PDI to guide and evaluate potential long-term talent.

Requirements

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sit, stand, reach frequently, and walk occasionally. May be required to Lift/Carry - 20lbs or less occasionally.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERN

Must be 18 years or older to work as an Intern at PDI and pass a pre-hire drug and background screen and random drug screens that may occur at any time and without notice. Interns under 18 are not allowed to work more than 8 hours per 24-hour period or more than 40 hours per week.
