Franklin Twp YMCA is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Development Professional to serve as a role model in our After School Leadership Program for 6th-grade boys and girls. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in fostering a supportive and engaging environment that encourages leadership, teamwork, and personal growth among youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging leadership curricula and activities tailored to 6th-grade students.
• Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating leadership qualities and social responsibility.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions that promote critical thinking, self-esteem, and conflict resolution skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community members to support program goals and participant success.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Organize events and community service projects to enhance leadership experiences.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Must be able to work Monday-Friday 2:30-6 pm.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with youth in educational or recreational settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Skills:

• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
• Proficiency in using technology for program management and communication.
